BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: While it can be tough sometimes to expect consistency from Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle by the nature of his role as the No. 2 receiver in Miami, his ceiling makes him a strong WR2 play in fantasy leagues, assuming he is healthy enough to play in Week 1.
Jaylen Waddle was in a non-contact jersey and a compression sleeve on his left calf.
Sounds like we finally found the source of his soft tissue injury.
Likely a grade 1 or 2 left calf strain.
I’m not super concerned yet.

Last season, Waddle played 14 games. He finished with five or more receptions in eight of those contests and had three 100-yard games. Playing beside Tyreek Hill has its pros and cons for Waddle, but his ability to rack up yards in a hurry makes him worth the risk.
For example, in his final game of 2023 against the Cowboys, Waddle was held to just one catch on four targets. However, he avoided fantasy disaster because that one reception went for 50 yards.
Miami is at home against the Jaguars in Week 1. Last season the Jags allowed the seventh-most passing yards in the NFL. Waddle should be in fantasy lineups.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically. Not every WR is like this, though, […]
