BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/FLEX
ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the latest in a long line of cautionary tales for fantasy managers. Receivers don't have to break out in their second year. They could just as easily stay middling or regress. There's a concerning narrative that could explain the situation with JSN.
Sleeper Of The Week: (Week 8)
Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR #11
• 4 straight games of 6+ targets
• DK Metcalf likely out due to MCL sprain
• Bills Defense is 23rd vs short passing
• 40/55 targets have been under 10 yardsJSN should eat out of the slot vs this Bills secondary pic.twitter.com/LLoOYG08Fm

However, matchups matter, and injuries do as well. If lead WR DK Metcalf can't play, Smith-Njigba should be a solid starting option. The Buffalo Bills, their opponent in Week 8, have been great at shutting down outside WRs, but not so great against the slot. Seattle is likely to adopt a run-heavy offense with plenty of short passes.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is 11th worst in yards per route run. Much of the bottom 10 are wr's on the Browns and Titans with putrid QB play.
JSN is still valued as the WR23 by the Dynasty community on KTC.
Sell.

His inefficiency is concerning, but at least in PPR, he should have the volume to make up for it. He could be reliant on slot work to get there, though. His ceiling will likely be determined solely by targets -- he's not a big play machine and will need a lot of catches to put up a huge day. PPR-scam players usually do.
Start him in PPR leagues with 12 or more teams.
