BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3 or Flex
ANALYSIS: Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a mid-tier WR3 or Flex play in a big divisional matchup on Thursday night.
Since Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba stepped onto an NFL football field, fantasy managers have been eager for him to become more involved in the team's passing attack. He has done just that through five weeks of the Mike Macdonald era in Seattle. In the Week 5 victory over the Giants, Smith-Njigba received seven targets, catching four for 31 yards and a touchdown.
So far this season, Smith-Njigba ranks second on the team in targets with 40, trailing only DK Metcalf, who has 43. While he may not lead in overall targets, he is first in red zone targets and plays a key role in the slot, giving him increased touchdown potential, which we finally saw come to fruition last week.
Additionally, Smith-Njigba has logged over 80% of the snaps in every game this season, proving that the coaching staff is committed to getting him involved.

The main reason Smith-Njigba is currently viewed as a WR3 or Flex play is due to a challenging matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers have contained opposing slot receivers this season and rank 10th in points allowed to wide receivers in fantasy football. However, with the Seahawks likely playing from behind, they may have to shift to a pass-first approach, creating more opportunities for their wide receivers.
Given Smith-Njigba’s snap count and target share, he remains a fantasy-relevant player and a Flex option that managers can trust in Week 6.
