ANALYSIS: Christian Watson was an exciting prospect coming out of North Dakota State in 2022, and he enjoyed relative success with Aaron Rodgers during his rookie season. In 2023, he has been nothing short of a disappointment in fantasy football. In seven games this season, Watson had not caught more than three passes in any contest. Overall, he has posted 16 catches on 37 targets for 257 yards and two touchdowns.
He scored 9.2 half-PPR fantasy points last week, which was his highest output since Week 5. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed have been more valuable fantasy assets this season, and that is likely to continue.
Despite drawing a favorable matchup against the suspect Lions defense, Watson should remain on the fantasy bench this week.
