BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams is now another year removed from a devastating knee injury that ended his 2022 season, and while many analysts expected him to return to form, that hasn't come to pass. He's averaging just 2.6 yards per carry, the same clip that he hit in 2023.

However, he faces a soft run defense in the reeling New Orleans Saints, who are looking more like a hospital ward than a football team with the ridiculous number of injuries they've faced. Denver also has an excellent defense, meaning that there should be plenty of opportunities to run the ball.
However, the third-year-pro has been so ineffective that it's likely both he and backup Jaleel McLaughlin will lose snaps to rookie Audric Estime, who returned from injured reserve but was load-managed in Week 6. Expect him to mix in and make this an ugly three-way committee. Williams fumbled the ball in Week 6.
Not sure what happened to Javonte Williams.
ACL sucks for sure, but man he’s been a different guy this year.
Just need to hold onto the football man. pic.twitter.com/c0jk0Qpo5l

It should not be a surprise that Williams hasn't looked the same since his injury. His knee injury was much more significant than a simple, clean ACL tear. He tore his ACL, LCL and posterolateral corner. Assuming that players will return to 100% no matter what injuries they've faced is just incorrect.
That knee may never be the same. Without significant target volume or touchdowns, it's unlikely he will make much of an impact moving forward. There's a chance he sees the doghouse due to his inability to hang on to the ball, too. He should stay on the bench, and he is a very risky start.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically. Not every WR is like this, though, […]
