ANALYSIS: Coby White and Zach LaVine are day-to-day casualties as I'm writing this on Saturday. Not that this is the main reason for Javonte Green to become an important part of the Bulls lineup, though, as Green has started the last 18 games in which he's played, including everyone from Jan. 24 to Feb. 4 playing an average of 24 MPG in the first four and then a massive 33 and 35 in his past two outings. Jesus Christ.
Javonte Green was a Boston Celtics' UDFA signee back in 2019 and played a large sample of 73 games for them though barely stayed 14+ MPG on the court on a nightly basis. So Boston sent him packing to Chicago, and the kid has never looked back. After a small playing dose of 16 games last season, Green has appeared in 36 matches this year while starting 25 of them. Yessir! For the loaded Bulls, no less. And yes, the Bulls have been molly-hit by injuries and other maladies, but even then it's quite interesting to find Green doing it out there.
Looking at his last seven games through Saturday (he hadn't played since Dec. 31 before this run), Green has averaged an 11-4-1-1-1 line, which is fantastic given 1) his low usage rate of 15%, 2) the fact that he's covering all positions from the point to the four, 3) he's done it on just 27 MPG. Green doesn't stretch the court that much, so you can forget about any tasty three-point goodies. That said, he's a virtual lock to end scoring double-digit points nightly thanks to an unconscious 58.6% field goal rate on 7+ FGA a day. Green is finding his way to the charity stripe easily (nine straight games with 1+ free-throw attempts and a 76% success) and he's barely found turning the ball over (0.5 TOPG on the year, 0.3 in his past seven games). Things will get ugly when all of Zo/Caruso/LaVine get back and fully healthy, but we're still ways away from that.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
