BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues.
OWNED IN: 40% of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: Javier Baez already has a HR and two stolen bases in just 25 plate appearances and appears to be on the brink of 400-450 at bats if the early returns of his usage continue. This is of course contingent on both health and steady performance.
I've long been a Baez supporter because of his power and speed combination. He's a versatile bench or MI option in 12+ team leagues because of his multi-positional eligibility. While his current BABIP of .375 and his K% of 32% suggest a drop off is coming, that may not be the case with Baez. I expect the average to come down a bit, but he should still be productive, especially since he will likely be used in optimal situations for his abilities. That is the benefit of being a part time player with such useful versatility. If you need a solid bench bat or stop-gap help in the MI Baez is a premier add candidate.
