BALLER MOVE: Target Around 84 Overall
CURRENT ADP: 101
ANALYSIS: Does drafting Jarrett Allen mean risky business for fantasy GMs? Sure. Does drafting Jarrett Allen, given his current ADP, mean taking on a potentially boom-more-than-bust player? You bet. Allen is currently getting off draft boards with an ADP of 101. Allen, also, finished 2020--a season in which he had to battle for opportunities with veteran DeAndre Jordan--as the 48th-best fantasy player in total fantasy points. That gap makes no sense at all.
Truth be told, Allen is not in the best situation to succeed in Brooklyn. The Nets have an absolutely stunning roster that includes Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Caris Levert, etc... and that means Allen will play surrounded by great teammates. But he will need to once more see how DAJ takes chances from him. Allen was Brooklyn's prime center, though, and he defeated DAJ in minutes 1,852 to 1,234 while playing 70 games (starting 64) to DAJ's 56 games.
While Allen is not going to stretch the floor anytime soon, he has good shooting percentages for a classic big (65 percent from the floor, one of only three players to do so while attempting 6+ fga per game--along with Rudy Gobert and Richaun Holmes) and finished last season on the verge of averaging a dub-dub at 11.1 ppg and 9.6 rpg. In fact, he had 30 double-doubles over the year. Don't rush this pick, but keep Allen's name in mind while targeting big men for your roster as even on a low role he was able to put very efficient numbers.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
