Jared Jones has gone from earning an Opening Day roster spot to lighting up the radar gun with massive strikeout numbers through his first three starts. Should you add him in fantasy baseball?

ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jared Jones won a rotation job out of spring training and has been very good to fantasy baseball managers who scooped him up early off the waiver wire.
The 22-year-old's 4.00 ERA in three starts is solid but his 2.24 SIERA and 2.37 xFIP are of the eye-popping variety. Additionally, Jones has punched out a whopping 25 batters versus just a pair of walks in his 18 innings of work, good for a massive 31.9% K-BB% to begin his career.
Jones ranks in the 92nd percentile or better in fastball velocity, chase rate, whiff rate, walk rate, and strikeout rate. His 4th percentile ranking in barrel rate and hard-hit rate are concerning and he's allowed four homers in those 18 frames, good for a 2.00 HR/9. Of course, not everything can be perfect for a 22-year-old hurler in the big leagues.

It goes without saying that Jones is a dynasty manager's dream. He posted big strikeout numbers on his way up the minor league ladder and is now doing so in the big leagues. He'll have his hiccups, of course, but he is a must-add in any and all fantasy formats at this point.
