ANALYSIS: Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is slated to serve as the lead back in the Buffalo backfield this season and should be started in all leagues in the season opener.
Cook enjoyed a nice sophomore season last fall as he totaled 1,122 yards and two scores on the ground. Cook stood out through the air as he tallied 445 yards on 44 catches with an additional four scores.

Currently, rookie Ray Davis and Ty Johnson are behind Cook on the depth chart. While they may occasionally enter the game to serve as a change-of-pace option, fantasy managers should not be too concerned as Cook should see the vast majority of touches.
In addition, the Georgia product could see an even greater uptick in receiving work this season as the Bills lack a true alpha wideout due to the departure of Stefon Diggs.
In a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals that currently has a hefty O/U of 48 points, expect Cook to shine on Sunday afternoon.
