Jameer Nelson (vs LAL, $5,400) The only team worse than the Nuggets at defending the point is….drumroll, please….the Lakers. Big surprise, right? Truth be told, I am not in love with Nelson here, but he is the best option in an otherwise poor field. Lou Williams presents some value but will most likely be splitting time with D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson. With the injuries that the Nuggets have sustained, there’s really no one behind Nelson that he will be fighting for minutes. Kenneth Faried (vs LAL, $6,100) Though his minutes may not eclipse over 34 as the Nuggets continue to work him back from his injury, Faried has the physical ability to mentally (and physically, HAHA) dominate the Lakers. Plus, if Gallinari is out, Denver will absolutely have to rely on Faried’s scoring ability. Hopefully his free throws drop on Tuesday. He has gone to the charity stripe 34 times over his last five with all kinds of sporadic results.
