BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/Flex
ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Tolbert is an interesting player to keep your eyes on, but he hasn't done enough yet to justify a start, especially not against the fantastic Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 5. While fellow WR Brandin Cooks has been ruled out, it's just a very difficult matchup.
Tolbert should see increased opportunities. That said, the black and gold brigade ranks 11th-fewest in points allowed to opposing receivers, giving up just 17.7 points per game. And that's after "elite" quarterback Joe Flacco carved them up in Week 3. Tolbert had just three targets last week.
WRs who create "multiple steps of separation" at the highest rate:
1. Chris Olave
2. Marvin Harrison Jr.
3. Jameson Williams
4. Malik Nabers
5. Jalen Tolbert
6. Christian Kirk
7. Jauan Jennings
8. Amon-Ra St. Brown
9. Brandon Aiyuk

Tolbert has been good at separating, but that doesn't mean he will immediately succeed as the No. 2 option in the offense. He's a tough player to start. In an easier matchup, he's worthy of flex consideration in deeper leagues, but for now, he's just a bench stash. Grab him for your benches and hope he takes over the de facto No. 2 WR role for the Cowboys.
