ROSTERED IN: 19% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The youngest player in the NBA has already played 35 rookie games and started 11 of them, all of those starts happening from Dec. 9 on and without any benching in between and through New Year's Eve.
Duren was thrust into the starting lineup of the Pistons a little over two weeks ago and that doesn't look like it will be changing anytime soon with Detroit assuming they're better off tanking an already-lost season to have some larger chances at landing Victor Wembenyama than making an impossible push for a play-in position.
The youngster has been an absolute glass-breaker for the Pistons since playing off the pine on Dec. 7 and in all started games after that one. He's grabbing 12.5 RPG in the last 12 games and scoring almost 10 PPG in that same span. Only three times has Duren finished outside of double-digit rebounds and those three matches ended with the kid still pulling down three boards.
From Dec. 7 (included) on, only Domantas Sabonis (165) has accrued more total rebounds than Jalen Duren's 150 in the NBA. Of course, Duren has done it in just 361 minutes compared to Sabonis' 411, more than a full 48-minute difference.
Not a lot of upside and value outside of the FG%, points, and rebounds cats with just the added bonus of getting a hair above 1+ stocks per game.
