BALLER MOVE: Add In All Leagues

ANALYSIS: It's not often that a team can replace a superstar point guard, Luka Doncic, with a two-time NCAA Champion, but that's exactly what the Dallas Mavericks are doing by inserting Jalen Brunson into it's starting lineup. The second-year point guard has been living in the shadow of his European teammate for two years, but Doncic is now sidelined with an ankle injury and Brunson should start to shine in all fantasy basketball formats.
Brunson has seen his minutes soar after Donic went down. Sometimes minutes don't translate to production in fantasy basketball, but they have for the former Villanova Wildcat. In the four games since Doncic went down, Brunson has seen his averages spike to 30.5 minutes of playing time while producing 13.0 points, 9.25 assists, 5.2 rebounds and taking 11.8 shots per game.
As soon as Doncic returns, Brunson will return to a reserve role and lose a lot of his value. Given the scarcity of assists on the waiver wire these days, fantasy managers could do a lot worse than add Brunson to their team in the short term and still hang onto him while Doncic works back to his full capacity of minutes.
