ANALYSIS: Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin was a popular sleeper candidate heading into the 2024 season. The second-year running back flashed significant upside in limited action as a rookie.

Unfortunately, McLaughlin has been a massive bust over the first two weeks. He is the RB63, averaging two half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Last week, the second-year player had three rushing attempts for six yards, totaling 0.6 fantasy points. However, McLaughlin is worth picking up in deeper leagues.
The Broncos’ rushing attack has struggled. Javonte Williams has averaged 2.1 yards per rushing attempt this year, while McLaughlin has averaged 2.5 yards per rushing attempt. Denver has faced two outstanding run defenses over the first two weeks, taking on the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hopefully, Denver’s backfield can bounce back in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Normally, the Buccaneers have an elite run defense. However, superstar defensive lineman Vita Vea is dealing with an MCL sprain and might miss Sunday’s matchup.
