BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 27% of leagues
ANALYSIS: While Jake Bauers has slumped a bit since the All-Star break, that has at least a little to do with a low BABIP that doesn't pass the smell test. Said slump has dropped his average to .233, but he still boasts an OPS above .800 to go with nine home runs and four stolen bases in 239 plate appearances. By virtue of hitting in the top half of the Tampa batting order, Bauers has also gifted fantasy owners with above-average run production (34 runs, 33 RBI in 56 games) - at least, the ones in roughly one-quarter of Yahoo leagues who are currently rostering him.
At just 22 years old, Bauers' blend of power, patience, and speed bode well for his future in the big leagues - and despite recent struggles, his rest-of-season outlook as well.
