ANALYSIS: Jaime Barria has been impressive in his rookie season, even before you consider the fact that he's just 21 years old. He's never been considered a big-name prospect, but an advanced approach has allowed him to move quickly through the ranks. Barria is a classic pitchability guy, and those pitchers tend to be underrated in both real baseball and fantasy circles. In 10 MLB starts thus far, Barria has posted a 3.40 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, whilst striking out 42 batters in 50 innings.
You may want to avoid running him out there for his next start, coming as it does against the Red Sox at Fenway Park. But with the Angels suffering a ton of injuries in their starting rotation, Barria will get plenty more chances to prove he belongs there - and in your fantasy team's rotation as well.
