ANALYSIS: Writing about Jahan Dotson as a great WW target ahead of Week 2 was something I expected. Doing so once more ahead of Week 3 is something I would have never thought I would be doing. Alas, fantasy GMs have yet to catch up with the rookie's exploits as they are seemingly taking a slow start to handle their WW business in the early season.
The Commanders have QB Carson Wentz at the helm. I have defended him as a legitimate option at the position in back-to-back weeks now. Some GMs still hate Wentz, though, and that probably gave them pause when it came to adding any/both of Dotson and Curtis Samuel to their rosters. Losers. Those fantasy GMs, I mean.
Dotson has now had two top-20 finishes at the WR position by virtue of scoring eerily similar 18.0 and 17.9 PPR points in the first two games of the season. He's only needed 10 targets to get there; in the two games combined, mind you! Dotson put up a 5-3-40-2 line in his debut, and he's now coming off another five-target outing in which he hauled in four receptions for 59 yards and another touchdown. He boosted his fantasy score with a two-point conversion.
I don't think I will be writing about Dotson for the remainder of the season, and it is probable that you won't have another chance to land him via waivers if you let that train pass this week. Make sure you grab some shares
