BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4/WR5
ANALYSIS: Yes, the Philadelphia Eagles are missing their top two wideouts, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, for their Week 4 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yes, newly signed receiver Jahan Dotson will be the presumptive starter. No, that doesn't mean you should start him in fantasy football.
Dotson played 79% of snaps in Week 2 and 89% in Week 3. It didn't matter. Dotson was probably a speculative add by the Eagles because he just hasn't been good in his career so far, and despite the good NFL Draft capital, it probably won't work out for him. Brown missed all of last game and Smith was knocked out and Dotson still didn't produce.
Jahan Dotson is still getting in his cardio.
94 routes, only 4 targets.
The former 1st rounder is being targeted on a league-low 4.2% of his routes 💀

He was targeted just three times, catching two passes for eight yards. It's the same story as it was with the Commanders. Dotson was on the field a lot but was barely targeted. He's had tons of opportunities but can't be relied on to get open.
The Eagles will lean heavily on RB Saquon Barkley, TE Dallas Goedert, and QB Jalen Hurts' legs. Those are the only reliable options their offense has left, and while Dotson may have a big game out of nowhere, it's unlikely without busted coverages by the defense or touchdown luck.
There are better options on waivers. Leave Dotson there, or on the bench if you have him.
