BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson had high expectations entering the year. He had a solid rookie season and flashed star potential, making many fantasy football players excited to draft the second-year player. Unfortunately, Dotson hasn’t lived up to the hype.
The former Penn State star is the WR44 for the year, averaging 7.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 37 receptions on 63 targets for 383 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Dotson has had some bright moments in 2023. Furthermore, the second-year wide receiver leads the team in receiving scores.
Unfortunately, the young receiver has been wildly inconsistent in his second NFL season. He has scored over 14.5 fantasy points in two of the past four games. However, Dotson had zero fantasy points in two of the past six contests, including two weeks ago against the Seattle Seahawks. Furthermore, he has scored fewer than seven fantasy points in 63.6% of the games this year.
This week, Dotson has an awful fantasy football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. They have held wide receivers to only 20.8 fantasy points per game, the third-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, the Cowboys have given up only 124 receiving yards and 27.4 fantasy points to wide receivers over the past two weeks.
