BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: July
ANALYSIS: Oakland Athletics top prospect Jacob Wilson is set to join the major league roster this weekend, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com.
The 22-year-old was drafted out of Grand Canyon University with the sixth overall pick in last year's draft and has progressed through the minor leagues at an incredible pace.
Last season, he spent the final 23 games of the season at High-A, where he posted a strong .313/.378/.455 line.
This summer, he opened the campaign by making his Double-A debut and posted an incredible .455/.473/.705 line with three long balls before moving up to Triple-A in May. At the top level of the minors, he looked just as strong with a .398/.444/.639 slash line and four home runs.
The Oakland A’s are calling up their No. 1 Prospect SS Jacob Wilson after just 72 minor league games.
He’s slashing .438/.475/.686 across three levels this season. An absolute hitting MACHINE. #Athletics pic.twitter.com/MXr3t4NGND
