BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5/WR6
ANALYSIS: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jacob Cowing could have fantasy value if a lot of things went right. If fellow WRs Deebo Samuel Sr. (wrist/illness) and Ricky Pearsall didn't start, he might be worth a start. Or if head coach and playcaller Kyle Shanahan liked using rookies more. But neither of those things are true.

Some of us at RotoBaller really do like Cowing. But in order for him to produce in fantasy football, he'll need a good amount of opportunity, and he's unlikely to get it. Star tight end George Kittle (foot) is also expected to play. This offense is the George and Deebo Show now that WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is out for the season and third-stringer Jauan Jennings (hip) is inactive.
Tough to say how close to 100% Deebo Samuel (pneumonia) will be tonight.

Samuel goes absolutely ballistic on stat sheets when Aiyuk isn't playing, and that will be the case for the rest of the season. Shanahan has shown us that he has no issues using players heavily, even when it's not necessary, leading to highly impactful absences due to injury -- see Christian McCaffrey (Double Achilles).
Cowing is hardly worth bench stashing outside of extremely deep leagues. The path to fantasy relevance for him is extremely narrow.

Ezekiel Elliott - Week 8 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks
BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: RB5 ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is the RB58 in full-PPR on the season. BALLER MOVE: Sit POSITIONAL VALUE: RB6/RB (insert bigger number here) ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys running back Dalvin Cook was elevated to the active roster for Sunday Night Football in Week 8.
