The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off of their best season since 2017 when they lost in the AFC Championship, and vibes are high in Duval County. The AFC South is once again set up to be an atrocity of a division, and the young core in Jacksonville is back together for another go-around.
The addition of Calvin Ridley is expected to elevate third-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence to another level this upcoming season and if everyone stays healthy, this Jacksonville team could be dangerous.
Let’s take a look at their schedule for the upcoming season and see what fantasy implications it may have.

2023 Jaguars Schedule Analysis for Fantasy Football
Jacksonville automatically gets a boost both in real-life football and in fantasy from being in the AFC South. Tennessee, Indianapolis, and Houston are all not expected to be competitive football teams this season on either side of the ball and the Jags should be able to leverage that to their advantage.
The Jaguars open up the season with four straight favorable fantasy matchups: Indianapolis, Kansas City, Houston, and Atlanta. Drafting Jacksonville players and selling high after a hot start could be one way to approach this schedule.
Weeks 15-17 are the most important weeks for fantasy football given that this is typically when the playoffs fall, and Jacksonville does not have what appears to be a bad playoff schedule.
Baltimore will probably end up being the toughest matchup for the Jags fantasy-wise over their playoff stretch, but if you survive that matchup their Week 16 and 17 games could end up being favorable.
While Tampa Bay’s defense could potentially click this season, they will need to be healthy and in a position to win the division to make Week 16 a tough fantasy matchup for the Jags.
In Week 17 and the fantasy championship, Jacksonville plays a Carolina Panthers team that is young and will likely not be the most stout defense in the league. This could end up being a golden matchup for Jaguars running backs, and Travis Etienne Jr. and Tank Bigsby could reap the benefits of a positive game script in fantasy championship week.
