PROSPECT: Jackson Jobe, SP, Detroit Tigers

ANALYSIS: With Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes officially making his debut earlier this month, Detroit Tigers' No. 1 prospect Jackson Jobe should soon be MLB's top pitching prospect. Jobe is currently Eric Cross' No. 16 overall prospect and MLB Pipeline's No. 10 overall prospect in baseball.
Both rankings are fair for Jobe, who has ace potential in the majors one day. The Tigers selected the right-hander with the third overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, and he has quickly ascended the minor league ranks. In 2024, the 21-year-old has dominated at the Double-A level so far. He currently has a 2.16 ERA and 24 strikeouts across 16 2/3 innings pitched in five starts.

There's a lot to love about Jobe's game, including his fastball that reaches 100 mph. He is still at least one year away from making his major league debut, but he deserves to be rostered in every dynasty league. The right-hander has tossed seven scoreless innings with just two walks and 11 strikeouts over his last two starts.
