BALLER MOVE: Stash in Deeper Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: August
ANALYSIS: Detroit Tigers third base prospect Jace Jung has held his own through his first look at Triple-A this season and is approaching his major league debut.
Through 80 games at Triple-A Toledo, the former 12th-overall pick has posted a .253/.372/.470 slash line with 14 home runs, 53 RBI, and a 57:84 BB:K ratio.
The 23-year-old has progressed through the minor leagues very quickly since joining the Tiger system in 2022. Last summer between High and Double-A, the Texas Tech product posted a strong .265/.376/.502 line with 28 home runs, 27 doubles, 82 RBI, and a 79:123 BB:K ratio.

The Tigers have lacked offensive upside at the hot corner this season with Matt Vierling posting a modest .250 AVG and Gio Urshela holding a .242 AVG. The Tigers may want to give one of their top prospects a taste of the big leagues before giving him a starting role in 2025.
Jung has shown high power and hitting potential in the minor leagues and could be a valuable corner infield option in the stretch run.
