J.T. Realmuto had a solid rookie season for the Miami Marlins in 2015 where he finished with a .259 average, 10 HR and a .290 OBP. Like most of the Miami Marlins last year, Realmuto was inconsistent for most of the season, though he did have a couple of months where he looked like a quality starting catcher.
Realmuto had averages of .316 and .333 in June and September respectively, though his July and August numbers were terrible. He also possesses great speed for a catcher, a quality the position is not exactly known for. Realmuto's eight stolen bases and seven triples were the best among MLB catchers, and his 2.2 WAR and 114 hits both ranked 8th among catchers. A realistic outlook for Realmuto in 2016 would be 15 HR and 65 RBI, though his speed should help make him an even stronger fantasy catcher.
