BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 1% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: The Mariners finally recalled infield prospect J.P. Crawford this week, giving him and Shed Long a chance to show off at the big league level. Only one Seattle infielder, Dylan Moore, was placed on the IL however, so playing time could be an issue. So far Crawford has started both game he's been up for, going 3-for-8 with a run scored.
Crawford is the shortstop of the future in Seattle. The team could look to deal virtually all of their starting infielders this summer, including Tim Beckham, Ryon Healy and Dee Gordon, which would free up a starting job for the young shortstop.
For now, Crawford is worth an add in very deep leagues to see if he can hit well enough to stick when the rest of the team is healthy. If he can, his speed and high contact ability will make him a solid middle infield option in deeper formats.
