BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 32% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Mets corner infielder and outfielder J.D. Davis has quietly had a fantastic season and he's been on an absolute tear in August. Over 10 games this month, he has four home runs, nine RBI, eight runs and a 1.336 OPS. On the year, he has an impressive slash line of .308/.373/.525 with 14 home runs over 100 games.
Davis had been used as a pinch hitter a decent amount during the bulk of the season, but lately he's been more of a mainstay in the lineup, starting the past 14 games for the team. Davis has a remarkable xBA of .320 on the year, which ranks amongst the top 1% of the league and suggests his .308 average on the season is legit. He also ranks amongst the top 5% in the league in exit velocity (92.3), xwOBA (.395) and hard-hit rate (49.8%).
Simply put, Davis needs to be owned in all leagues. He's having too good of a season to remain on waivers. He's a huge boost to your team in batting average and can contribute some power and run production numbers as well. See if he's out there in your leagues and if he is, pick him up.
