BALLER MOVE: Target ~ 175 or waiver wire pickup (Current ADP: N/A or undrafted , RB: 78)
ANALYSIS: After Saturday’s final roster cuts, former undrafted free agent Isaiah Crowell is now number three on the depth chart in Cleveland. Crowell has performed extremely well in the preseason and shown enough promise to beat out Dion Lewis for the last running back spot on the Browns roster. With the durability questions around Ben Tate, there is a lot of value sitting in the Browns number two RB position. Throughout the preseason and especially after the final cuts on Saturday, there has been a lot of talk of Crowell’s play and pure talent exceeding that of Terrance West, whom many see right now as the #2 in Cleveland. Crowell also put on an impressive show during the fourth preseason game which helped him cement his role within the Browns backfield. Within the first half of the season, or even before if there is an injury to Tate, we could see Crowell surpass West/Tate and be the guy that the Browns rely on to carry their running game. With the Browns solid offensive line and quarterback questions, there is a lot of value that can be found in what is expected to be a run heavy team in 2014. Crowell is a great fantasy stash for your bench in deep leagues, or should be high on your waiver wire priority list, especially if Ben Tate goes down.
