BALLER MOVE: Add in Very Deep Leagues (16+ Teams) or as a Handcuff
ROSTERED IN: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Though San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey is being considered for IR after a worsening of his calf and Achilles injuries, Guerendo is unlikely to see much playing time. Head coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't typically give late-round rookies much playing time, and RB Jordan Mason went on a tear last game, demolishing the Jets for over 100 rushing yards and over five yards per carry.
Guerendo has an intriguing athletic profile, but he's mostly being used on special teams for now and is unlikely to get much work at all other than a few touches in blowout games. Mason looks to be the bell cow, and Guerendo will need plenty of time to learn Shanahan's complicated running schemes. Guerendo was already a very raw prospect coming out of college.

Guerendo could certainly make big plays if given the opportunity, but he needs time to refine his skills. He's a project RB right now, and not worth rostering yet. However, he's a Mason injury away from getting significant playing time, so in deeper leagues he's relevant, and he could see playing time if McCaffrey misses extended time anyway.
If McCaffrey didn't return this season, Guerendo would be more interesting for normal-sized leagues, but in general, McCaffrey and Mason's presence makes a fantasy-relevant Guerendo little more than a pipe dream.
