Zay Jones Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Jones (knee) is considered day-to-day after undergoing tests on Monday on the knee he aggravated on Sunday in the Week 5 win over the Buffalo Bills in London, according to sources.
It's good news for a Jaguars team that has now won two in a row as they head into a divisional clash in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. Jones missed Weeks 3 and 4 with the knee injury, but it sounds like he dodged a bullet on Sunday and could have a chance at playing this weekend against Indy.
The 28-year-old has eight catches (18 targets) for 78 yards and two touchdowns in three games this year.
Zay Jones Fantasy Football Outlook
While Jones does not have a safe floor playing alongside Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, and Evan Engram, he is worth rostering in deep leagues. He has found the end zone twice this year and is averaging six targets per contest.
He is playable as a low-end flex option or WR4 in PPR formats, but he would have a ton of upside if Kirk or Ridley have to miss time this season. Instead of rostering players who have proven to have low floors and ceilings like Brandin Cooks, stashing Jones could set you up for solid production later in the season.
The Indianapolis Colts have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to wideouts this season, so he has a chance at a fantasy-viable outing if he's active in Week 6.
