Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss was the 86th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Moss had a productive college career, totaling 712 rushing attempts for 4,067 yards and 38 yards in four years at Utah. He also had 66 receptions for 685 receiving yards and three touchdowns in college.
Moss had a solid rookie season. He had 112 rushing attempts for 481 yards and four touchdowns that season, finishing second on the team in all three categories. The rookie also had 14 receptions on 18 targets for 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately, the former Utah star saw his production decline the following year. Moss had 96 rushing attempts for 345 yards and four touchdowns that season. He also caught 23 of his 32 targets for 197 receiving yards and a touchdown in 2021.

What Did Zack Moss Accomplish In 2022?
Last year Moss split time between the Bills and Colts. When the team drafted James Cook, the former Utah star saw his playing time shrink. Moss had only 17 rushing attempts for 91 yards in five games with Buffalo. He also totaled only seven receptions on eight targets for 27 receiving yards last season with the Bills.
However, the third-round running back had some productive games after getting traded to the Colts. The veteran had 76 rushing attempts for 365 yards and a touchdown in eight games with Indianapolis. Furthermore, he caught four of his five targets for 12 yards with the team.
Is Zack Moss The Colts Primary RB With Jonathan Taylor Injured?
Moss earned a role with the Colts after Taylor suffered a season-ending ankle injury last season. While the superstar running back was reportedly on track to partake in training camp, Taylor was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list earlier this week.
However, fantasy players shouldn’t panic over the news. The superstar is in the middle of messy contract negotiations with the Colts. He could be “holding in” until the two sides reach a long-term deal. Unless Taylor is still on the PUP list come the third preseason game, fantasy players should expect him to be ready for the regular season opener.
With Taylor on the sidelines, is Moss the primary running back? The answer is no. If Taylor misses any time, the Colts will use multiple running backs, including the rookie Evan Hull.
