New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is one of the worst signal callers in the league by nearly any measure.
With a 59.9 PFF offense grade, Wilson is the 29th-best amongst qualifying quarterbacks. He has thrown one more interception than he has thrown touchdown passes. He has only completed 59.8% of the passes he has attempted, a lower rate than Kenny Pickett, Justin Fields, Deshaun Watson, and Ryan Tannehill, and he's averaging 6.1 yards per attempt, the third-lowest figure amongst quarterbacks with over 280 dropbacks.
Many fans want Wilson to be benched. The Jets could have had a strong season if they had better quarterback play. Who could Wilson possibly be replaced with? The trade deadline has passed, and even Carson Wentz has been claimed by a different team. So, will Zach Wilson start for the Jets in Week 11?

Is Zach Wilson Starting in Week 11?
Jets coach Robert Saleh has confirmed Zach Wilson will remain the Jets' starter and will lead the team from behind center against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11. Wilson already beat the Bills in Week 1.
He tossed a crucial late touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson, but overall he didn't look great, completing only 14 of 21 passes for 140 yards and an interception in addition to the touchdown. That was one of the better games of his 2023 season. Since then, he has looked worse.
Coach Saleh has remained loyal to Wilson. He has frequently defended the young quarterback. On Tuesday, he said that Wilson was not the "reason for everyone failing."
He said:
“When speaking about Zach, I get it: There's a yearning for more, or whatever it is. But it is hard to make changes just to make changes. Just to pacify something. Especially when someone's not deserving. If he was deserving of it, I gotcha, let's change something."
He has constantly defended Wilson throughout the season and said earlier that Wilson "gives us our best chance to win." That might have been true with Tim Boyle as the Jets' QB3, but Aaron Rodgers went down on the first drive of the Jets' season. They had a lot of time to look at free agents or negotiate for a trade.
The Vikings, by contrast, traded for Joshua Dobbs just one week after Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles, and they have been winning ever since. The Rams signed Carson Wentz just to have a better quality backup should Matthew Stafford (thumb, but expected to return in Week 11) miss more time.
Zach Wilson Fantasy Football Outlook
Zach Wilson has not thrown a touchdown pass in the past two weeks. He has only thrown one touchdown pass in the past five weeks and five on the season.
In the past three weeks since the Jets' bye week, has has attempted at least 36 passes each game and thrown for between 240 and 263 yards. That's an increase in yardage since the first half of the season. In the first six weeks, he only surpassed 200 yards once. Even so, without any touchdown passes, he's rarely hitting double-digit fantasy scores. Last week, he only barely got there by adding 54 rushing yards.
Wilson has never finished better than QB12. That was in Week 4, and it was his only week to finish as a top-12 quarterback. He has only finished as a top 24 QB six times, including each of the past three weeks since the bye.
Wilson should not even be considered as a potential streamer in single-QB leagues, but if you are in a crunch in a superflex league, he has recently been producing enough to justify starting him.
