Is Wan'Dale Robinson Out For The Rest Of The Season?
New York's rookie wide receiver was injured in the Giants' Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions. Robinson was spotted on crutches after suffering an apparent knee injury on Sunday.
While details are still coming in, Giants' head coach Brian Daboll confirmed Monday morning that Robinson suffered an ACL tear in his knee, per Giants' beat writer Art Stapleton. The injury will require surgery and the New York receiver will miss the rest of the season.
Should I Pickup And Start Darius Slayton?
The loss of the dynamic rookie is just another blow in what's been a series of injuries for the New York receiving corps. Robinson will join fellow Giants' WR Sterling Shepard on the sidelines for the rest of 2022.
New York is now left with a receiver room that includes Darius Slayton, Kenny Golladay, Richie James Jr., Isaiah Hodgins, and David Sills.
Slayton is the preferred fantasy pickup here, as he's the only Giants receiver - outside of Robinson - that's shown any bit of life in recent weeks. The 25-year-old out of Auburn has proven himself to be a legitimate deep threat over his three-plus years with New York.
His role has been sizable in recent weeks, as he's been targeted 26 times over the Giants' last four games, including a season-high 10 looks in last week's loss to the Lions. Slayton is currently available in about half of fantasy leagues across the industry, but he'll be a popular waiver-wire target this week. The Giants have a quick turnaround and will face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Fantasy managers should make Slayton a priority and get him in lineups for Week 12.
