Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson hasn't had the most prolific start to his NFL career since entering the league in 2022, but he was largely affected by injuries last season and didn't play a single game where he and Matthew Stafford were healthy.
Time is running out for Jefferson to fully break out in fantasy football, but with limited target competition behind Cooper Kupp, he'll have another chance to do so in 2023.
Is Jefferson healthy or injured and what is his 2023 fantasy football outlook? Let's get into it.

Van Jefferson Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Jefferson (knee) is feeling much better this offseason after two knee surgeries delayed his 2022 debut until Week 8. "It's been great being back and working with Grif (strength and conditioning associated John Griffin), (associate athletic trainer) Mark (Dydasco) and (Vice President, Sports Medicine and Performance) Reggie (Scott) and those guys, getting back to myself and I'm feeling pretty good," Jefferson said.
He averaged 15.6 yards per catch in 11 games last year, and of his 24 receptions, seven went for 20-plus yards. With Allen Robinson II now in Pittsburgh, Jefferson could find himself in a bigger role as the second-most experienced receiver on the roster in 2023.
Van Jefferson 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
We can't expect the Rams' offense to fully bounce back and look like it did during their Super Bowl run at the end of the 2021 season, but the team failed to bring in significant target competition behind Cooper Kupp, so Jefferson could be in line for plenty of targets in Sean McVay's scheme.
He'll compete with Ben Skowronek, Tutu Atwell, Tyler Higbee, and rookie fifth-round pick Puka Nacua to be the No. 2 and No. 3 option for Matthew Stafford. That said, Jefferson can't be expected to be a weekly fantasy star after three uninspiring seasons thus far.
His price in fantasy drafts will be cheap though, so he could be worth a late-round flyer in Best Ball leagues. If he becomes a fantasy WR4 or WR5, he'd be worth the selection in the final rounds of drafts.
