The fantasy managers who drafted Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (foot) have been through enough this season. He's inconceivably the WR44 on the year -- the injury to his starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, has absolutely cratered his fantasy scoring ability.
He incomprehensibly now has five games with single-digit PPR fantasy points, and many of his managers likely have losing records thanks to his ineffectiveness. Hopefully for them, that's all about to change in short order.
Like clockwork, though, Hill was added to the injury report recently. So is he hurt or healthy now, and what's his fantasy outlook for Week 8?
He wasn't on the injury report Wednesday, but he popped up on it Thursday with a foot issue. The specifics of the ailment are unknown, but it's always concerning to see a player go from healthy to injured without having played a game in between. Fantasy managers should stay updated on this evolving situation.
He's also 30 years old, and no one is invincible. It could be part of a load-management strategy or a flare-up of a pre-existing injury. The injury rate in the NFL is 100%. It's safe to assume that most players are carrying numerous injuries that have to be managed and can be re-aggravated at any time -- though most won't show up on the injury report.
Tyreek Hill Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 8
He's a must-start when his QB1 is playing. He showed flashes of elite play in Week 1, and he has an easy matchup upcoming. Things should be back to normal as long as Tagovailoa doesn't have too much rust to shake off. The Arizona Cardinals don't have a very good defense this year.
They've given up the seventh-most points to opposing wide receivers per game this season. They likely won't have an answer for Reek's speed. There's the potential for an explosive game from him, reminiscent of 2023, and 2022, and 2021, and 2020. You get the point.
They're baaaack: Tyreek Hill just caught an 80-yard TD from Tua Tagovailoa.
