Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee started the 2023 campaign slow but has posted solid outings in Week 3 and Week 4. The 30-year-old veteran hasn't often been a high-end fantasy tight end, but he's remained on the fantasy radar as an interesting low-end TE1 or high-end TE2 over the last few years.
However, Higbee is dealing with another injury heading into Week 5, and we have his latest update.
Is Higbee injured or healthy? What's his fantasy outlook in Week 5 if he plays? Let's dive in.

Tyler Higbee Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Higbee (thumb) "got his thumb banged up a little bit" in the Week 4 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Sean McVay. Higbee was questionable going into Sunday's win over the Colts with an Achilles injury, but he ended up suiting up and caught five of a season-high 11 targets for 64 yards.
The 30-year-old has yet to find the end zone in the first four games, but he's been respectable as a low-end TE1 for fantasy managers with 16 receptions on 26 targets for 196 yards as the TE9 in half-PPR scoring.
His thumb injury shouldn't cause him to miss the Week 5 meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. However, the impending return of receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is inevitably going to take valuable targets away from Higbee.
Tyler Higbee Fantasy Football Outlook
Even if Kupp returns in Week 5, Higbee has a bright outlook for Week 5. The Eagles have allowed the second-most fantasy points to tight ends thus far. The Los Angeles offense has far exceeded expectations up to this point, so unless you have an elite fantasy tight end, Higbee should be a consideration in lineups.
There's always a chance Kupp and Puka Nacua could eat up the majority of targets, but Higbee's upside outweighs his downside given the scarcity of tight end production in fantasy football.
