Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the QB20 for the year, averaging 16.5 fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, he has struggled to stay healthy.
The star quarterback missed four games earlier this season with a concussion after taking a massive hit in the Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. However, he has played well since returning from the injury.
Tagovailoa has averaged 1.9 passing touchdowns and 17.5 fantasy points per game over the past 10 weeks, totaling two or more scores and over 23.5 fantasy points in nearly half of those contests.

Is Tua Tagovailoa Out For The Season?
Unfortunately, the former Alabama star suffered a hip injury in the Week 16 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Tagovailoa’s injury forced him to miss last week’s win over the Cleveland Browns. Furthermore, he is iffy to play on Sunday in a must-win game for the Dolphins against the New York Jets. Fantasy players shouldn’t expect the star quarterback to play this week, ending his regular season.
ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tua: "I don't think it's a lock he plays this week. The hip was more banged up than people realize... It's fair to say his status [for Jets] is in question."

Tua Tagovailoa’s 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook
With Tagovailoa’s 2024 season over, fantasy players should look ahead to next year. The veteran is a massive injury risk, especially given his history of concussions. However, he can be one of the top fantasy quarterbacks because of his high touchdown rate.
Tagovailoa has 19 passing touchdowns in 11 games this season, totaling two or more in four of the past six contests. Hopefully, he can be even more productive in 2025 and avoid missing significant time with injuries.

Unfortunately, his injury history and Tyreek Hill’s regression this year are significant factors in where fantasy players draft him in 2025. Tagovailoa should get drafted as a low-end QB1 or a high-end QB2 next season, depending on the league’s scoring format. Either way, the former Alabama star is far from a must-start quarterback every week.
