Tua Tagovailoa Injury News
Tagovailoa (head) has been sidelined since Christmas Day after suffering his third concussion of the season. Not only is it incredibly concerning that he has sustained numerous head injuries, but the fact that he has been unable to advance through the concussion protocol is also quite alarming.
This week has been much of the same for Tagovailoa. The Alabama product did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, and it looks like he'll remain sidelined on Friday, too.
Is Tua Tagovailoa Injured or Playing in the Wild Card Round?
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel made it clear that Tagovailoa's health is the biggest priority. The quarterback has not been cleared to resume football activities and has since been ruled out for this weekend's game against the Bills. At this point, the medical staff hasn't even decided if he'll be able to travel to Buffalo to support his teammates.
With Tagovailoa sidelined, the Dolphins will pivot to a different quarterback this week. Teddy Bridgewater (finger) is still recovering from a broken bone, so it looks like Skylar Thompson will get the nod against the Bills.
The Dolphins starting Thompson bodes well for their running backs and tight ends, but less favorably for their wide receivers. Make sure to consider Miami's evolving quarterback situation when placing bets and setting DFS lineups this coming weekend.
