Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks was an exciting prospect in the 2022 draft class coming out of Arkansas, but his rookie season was far from outstanding. The 23-year-old had plenty of rookie struggles last season but he's an enticing WR3 or WR4 option in most 2023 fantasy football formats.
Burks should operate as Tennessee's No. 1 wide receiver. So his sophomore campaign should be his time to show everyone what he has at the professional level.
What is Burks' 2023 fantasy outlook and can he be trusted in your WR3 spot? Let's dive in.

Treylon Burks 2022 Season Review
In 11 games, Burks caught 33 of his 54 targets for 444 yards and just one touchdown. He added 47 yards rushing and a fumble recovery touchdown as well. He missed four games due to a turf toe injury that he suffered in Week 4. He missed another two contests after a viscous concussion-inducing hit on a touchdown grab against the Eagles in Week 13.
He flashed at times when he was healthy, but Tennessee averaged the third-fewest passing yards per game (171.4) while passing on just 50.91% of its offensive plays (sixth-lowest). Needless to say, the Titans' offense struggled all around after the departure of A.J. Brown last offseason. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill also dealt with injuries and its offensive line regressed.
His most promising advanced metrics were his target rate of 23.8% (31st among WRs) and yards per route run (1.96), which ranked 32nd among WRs.
Treylon Burks 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
All reports are positive on Burks coming out of Titans' OTAs and mini-camp, but those should always be taken with a grain of salt. However, his competition for targets consists of Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Kyle Philips, Chris Moore, and Chigoziem Okonkwo. If DeAndre Hopkins doesn't sign with the Titans, Burks could see a top-10 target share among all wide receivers.
His ceiling could be limited by a lackluster offense led by Ryan Tannehill and/or Will Levis, but volume and raw targets should be no issue. While new offensive coordinator Tim Kelly will likely call pass plays more often, the lack of quality pass-catchers will force his hand to keep the offense as a run-heavy attack.
Burks is one of the cheapest No. 1 wide receivers at his WR35 cost, and if he stays healthy, that should be close to his floor outcome in 2023. He's a viable WR3 option, but be sure to have at least one "can't-miss" wide receiver on your fantasy team if you decide to draft him.
