Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has missed the past two games with a knee injury. It is currently unclear when Burks will return to the field.
While he's been sidelined, the Titans made a big trade, sending DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs. That could open up a larger role for Burks once he is back.

Will Treylon Burks Start For The Titans When He Returns?
The Titans drafted Treylon Burks in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He caught 33 passes for 444 yards and a touchdown that season. His numbers have dropped since, though.
In 2024, Burks has just four receptions for 34 yards in five games. He has eight targets all season despite playing 48% or more of the team's snaps in four of his five games.
With Hopkins now in K.C., there's theoretically a larger role available for Burks, but with Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine all in the mix, it might be tough to carve out a role.
NWI is legitimately good and it’s frustrating that the Titans chose to waste so many snaps on Treylon Burks early in the year.

This week against the Detroit Lions, those three combined for 25 of Mason Rudolph's 38 targets. Burks could technically start for the team when he returns in the sense that he'll be on the field to open the game, but that might be a role in name only.
Treylon Burks Fantasy Football Outlook
Before he was injured and before Hopkins was traded, Burks wasn't doing anything notable on the football field.
The #Titans need to re-sign Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in the offseason.
With Hopkins gone, NWI and a rookie draft-pick should contend for the "X" role opposite Ridley ("Z") next season.
The Titans wasted so much time with Treylon Burks earlier this season.

There's no real reason to think that the Hopkins trade is going to change that much. Sure, Burks could see more opportunities, but this is a guy who hasn't had more than one reception in any 2024 game.
Fantasy managers can go ahead and leave Burks on the waiver wire, where he should be at this point.
