Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has struggled to produce for fantasy players this year. The rookie receiver is averaging four targets and 4.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this season, scoring seven or fewer fantasy points in every game.
While the first-round pick hasn’t been fantasy relevant this season, there are some positive things to take away from his performance over the first month of the year. Burks has played the third-most snaps among Tennessee wide receivers. More importantly, the rookie is second on the team with 16 targets.
Unfortunately, the former Arkansas star suffered a toe injury last week against the Indianapolis Colts.

Is Treylon Burks Playing?
The rookie is dealing with a turf toe injury. While fantasy players hoped he would only miss a week or two with the injury, the Titans placed Burks on injured reserve on Saturday. Unfortunately, the rookie receiver will miss at least the next four weeks.
Burks was starting to flash on the field before the injury. While he ran only 17.5 routes per game, the rookie receiver had a 66.7% route participation rate and saw a target on 22.9% of his routes.
Furthermore, while he played only 51.6% of the snaps over the first four games of the year, the first-round pick saw an increase in snaps over the past few weeks.
Should I Start Robert Woods or Nick Westbrook-Ikhine?
With Burks out for the next few weeks, the two biggest beneficiaries are Woods and Westbrook-Ikhine.
The former Lost Angeles Ram has led the team in targets (20), receptions (13), and receiving yards (167). He also scored the only touchdown from Tennessee wide receivers this season.
Meanwhile, Westbrook-Ikhine showed some potential to close out last season, scoring 9.5 or more half-point PPR fantasy points in three of his final seven games. However, the third-year receiver is averaging only 2.3 targets and 2.3 fantasy points per game this season.
Between the two receivers, Woods is the much better option. Furthermore, he has top-24 upside this week, thanks to the matchup against the Washington Commanders. They have surrendered 40.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, the second-most in the NFL.
Somehow, Woods is available in 28.9% of ESPN leagues. If he is on the waiver wire in your league, add the veteran receive immediately.
