Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has had an up-and-down 2022 season. The former Arkansas Razorback is the WR79 for the year, averaging 7.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
The rookie has played well at times this season. Over his past five contests, Burks has averaged 10.2 fantasy points per game, scoring nine or more fantasy points four times.
However, the first-round pick has struggled to stay healthy this year, missing six games due to various injuries.

Is Treylon Burks Healthy Or Injured?
Burks had a solid performance against the Dallas Cowboys, catching four of eight targets for 66 receiving yards last week. However, the former Arkansas receiver suffered a groin injury at practice on Wednesday.
Despite not practicing on Thursday, head coach Mike Vrabel downplayed the rookie’s injury. He suggested that Burks will play Saturday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans listed the young receiver as questionable for the critical Week 18 matchup.
Should I Start Treylon Burks If He Plays?
If Burks is active for the matchup against Jacksonville, should fantasy players start the rookie in Week 18? Ideally, fantasy players should avoid starting the former Arkansas star.
Not only is he dealing with the groin injury, but Burks will be playing with Tennessee’s third-string quarterback this week. Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is on injured reserve, while the rookie Malik Willis has struggled this year. Thus, Joshua Dobbs will get his second straight start on Saturday night.
Furthermore, the matchup is far from ideal for the rookie receiver. The Jaguars have held wide receivers to only 11.5 fantasy points per game over the past two weeks. Furthermore, Jacksonville held Tennessee's receiving core to only nine receptions for 99 receiving yards in the Week 14 matchup.
Instead, fantasy players should add Rashid Shaheed off the waiver wire. The undrafted free agent has the seventh-most receiving yards among rookie wide receivers this season, ahead of multiple first-round picks, including Burks.
More importantly, Shaheed has an excellent matchup in Week 18. The Carolina Panthers have surrendered 44.2 fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past four weeks. They have allowed wide receivers to average 257.8 receiving yards and 1.5 receiving touchdowns per game during that span. Furthermore, Carolina gave up three touchdowns and 43.7 fantasy points to Mike Evans last week.
