Is Travis Kelce Hurt Or Healthy?
Kansas City's Travis Kelce continues to stand out as the NFL's best tight end. Kelce put together another strong 2022 campaign, leading all tight ends in receptions (110), receiving yards (1,338), and TDs (12). The future Hall of Famer shined bright in last week's Divisional Round victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, bringing in 14 catches for 98 yards and a pair of scores.
Kelce unexpectedly popped up on Kansas City's Friday injury report with an apparent back injury. He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's AFC Conference Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals despite practicing in full on Friday.
Fantasy Football Outlook For Travis Kelce This Week
Seeing a player added to the injury report late in the week is scary. That's especially the case with a player of Kelce's caliber and importance.
While his presence on Kansas City's injury report is certainly jarring, his full practice participation on Friday is a positive sign that the star Chiefs TE will be able to suit up against the Bengals.
As long as Kelce isn't severely limited, he should be considered the top tight end on the slate. The Bengals have struggled to contain the TE position of late. Cincinnati has allowed just over 900 receiving yards to opposing TEs this season and most recently relinquished a combined 10 catches for 138 yards in their two postseason games.
