Is Travis Etienne Playing Today Against The Lions?
Travis Etienne has had a true breakout season in his second year in the NFL. The Jaguars running back has logged 930 total yards and four TDs in 2022. Unfortunately, Etienne was injured in last week's win over the Baltimore Ravens. He exited the game and did not return with a foot issue.
The injury was a scary one for the Clemson product that missed his entire 2021 rookie season with an injury to the same foot. Thankfully for Etienne and his fantasy managers, it appears as though Jacksonville's RB1 is ready to roll in Week 13.
Should I Start Travis Etienne In Week 13?
By all accounts, Etienne's issue last week was more of a scare than a significant injury. Jacksonville HC Doug Pederson said that the back could have returned against Baltimore in Week 12, but the team wanted to play it safe.
He is fully expected to return without limitation in Week 13 against Detroit. It is a terrific spot for the dynamic runner who has dominated the usage in the Jags backfield in recent weeks. The Lions have allowed the third-most rushing TDs in the NFL this season. Fantasy managers might be reluctant to trust players that are returning from injuries, but must fire Etienne up today in what should be a terrific game environment.
