Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. has had a disappointing start to the 2024 NFL season. Etienne was drafted as a top-10 running back in many fantasy football leagues.
Unfortunately, he is only the RB24 over the first four weeks, averaging 10.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Clemson star has scored 10.9 or fewer fantasy points in all but one game this year.
More importantly, Etienne scored a season-low 6.5 fantasy points in Week 4. Is the star running back hurt or healthy? Let’s dive into it.

Is Travis Etienne Jr. Hurt Or Healthy?
Etienne suffered a shoulder injury early in Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans. However, he returned to the game and played 52% of the snaps, totaling 11 rushing attempts for 50 yards and one reception for 10 receiving yards. While the 52% snap share was by far his lowest total for the year, Etienne still led the backfield in snaps played.

Waiver Wire Replacement Options For Travis Etienne Jr.
The fact that Etienne returned to Sunday’s game suggests he should be fine moving forward. However, Tank Bigsby would have top-20 value if the star running back missed time with an injury.
Yesterday, the second-year running back had seven rushing attempts for 90 yards and nine fantasy points against the Texans. Bigsby averaged 12.9 yards per rushing attempt, thanks to a 58-yard run late in the third quarter.

The former Auburn star is rostered in only 11% of Yahoo leagues. Fantasy players with Etienne on their roster should make Bigsby their top waiver wire priority this week, even if the star running back is healthy.
Bigsby could see his role on offense expand with Etienne struggling. Furthermore, the second-year player is one of the top handcuff options in fantasy football. He would have must-start value if Etienne missed time with a significant injury.
