Is Travis Etienne Jr. Healthy or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Travis Etienne Jr. fantasy football rankings draft sleepers running backs

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. missed his entire rookie year with a Lisfranc injury, making 2022 his first season of action.

After a slow start, failing to meet expectations, Etienne Jr. started to heat up. By midseason, he was in the midst of a breakout, prompting the team to part ways with his teammate James Robinson. The move paved the way for Etienne to ascend into stardom, becoming a must-start back for fantasy managers each week.

Unfortunately, he exited their game against the Ravens on Sunday, leaving fantasy managers wondering about his status. Is Etienne Jr. healthy or injured? Let's dive in.

Travis Etienne Jr. Injury Updates for Fantasy Football

As mentioned above, Etienne Jr. left very early in the game against Baltimore. He carried the ball twice for three yards before ending his day, resulting in a big blow to everyone who started him on Sunday.

What was strange about the situation was that he was never officially ruled out. The report below was the only one released until after the contest was over.

While he was listed as questionable to return, he never did get back out there.

Travis Etienne Jr. Injury News

An additional report was provided on Monday, which was also a bit unusual because it stated that Etienne Jr. was cleared to return but they elected to hold him out. Furthermore, it referred to testing they were planning to do but no longer believe is required.

Despite it being unique, it does sound optimistic, providing hope that Etienne Jr. won't miss significant time if any at all.

Is Travis Etienne Jr. Playing in Week 13?

Fantasy managers will need to monitor the news and practice reports, but it appears Etienne Jr. dodged a major injury, and barring any setbacks, will be active for their game against the Lions on Sunday.

There is a strong chance he's limited in practice this week, which again is worth staying informed about but would not be cause for concern so long as he's cleared to play. Assuming he's back in action against Detroit, he'll go right back to being a top-12 option given the matchup.
