45-year-old quarterback Tom Brady will take the field tonight in what could be his final game in Tampa.
The 12-5 Dallas Cowboys come to town in an 8:15 PM kickoff on Martin Luther King day to face the 8-9 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final game of Super Wild Card Weekend.
Brady’s contract is up following 2022 and he will become a free agent as he gears up for his age-46 season. Following an offseason that saw Brady retire for a few weeks before returning to Tampa Bay, will we see him take the field in 2023?

What Did Tom Brady Do In 2022?
Despite the poor 8-9 record, Tom Brady finished third in the NFL in passing yards with 4,694. Tampa Bay struggled with injury problems but that did not stop the 45-year-old from continuing to torch opposing defensive backs.
Brady finished the season tied in eighth with 25 passing touchdowns and threw nine interceptions. He did enough to get Tampa Bay to the postseason despite only winning eight regular season games.
While his 2022 season was not as strong statistically as his previous two seasons in Tampa, Brady was working with a patched-together offensive line. Center Ryan Jensen, who tore his ACL before the season, was activated and is expected to play against Dallas tonight.
What Will Tom Brady Do In 2023?
As Brady takes the field for what could be his last game in Tampa Bay, the whole world anticipates his decision on 2023. The rumblings will only grow louder once Tampa is eliminated (or wins the Super Bowl).
With his contract expiring, there is growing speculation that number 12 could leave Tampa.
If he does opt to leave, where will he go? Brady already has a lucrative TV deal awaiting him at Fox Sports.
After nearly retiring last off-season, this is certainly an option for him. If he does return to football in 2023, there are a number of destinations that make sense.
Brady grew up a 49ers fan. San Francisco has struggled to lock in a starting quarterback but might have the best roster in the NFL top-to-bottom. They could opt to bring in Brady for a season and keep Trey Lance and Brock Purdy on the roster behind him.
The Miami Dolphins already illegally attempted to bring Brady to Miami and had to forfeit their 2023 first-round pick because of it. Miami could be a landing spot for Brady if he opts to go there legally.
Las Vegas is another option, as they sent longtime quarterback Derek Carr packing.
A reunion with Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, where he spent the first 20 years of his career, is also not out of the picture.
While there is no clarity on where Brady is headed, there is sure to be a boatload of speculation until his decision for 2023 is settled.
