Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick was a trendy sleeper pick heading into the 2022 NFL season. He gained over 700 yards in both 2020 and 2021 despite poor quarterback play. How would he do with nine-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson behind center?
We never got to see it because Patrick tore his ACL in an early August practice and missed the whole season (and Wilson played like anything but a Pro Bowler in 2022).
Now that Patrick is returning and the Broncos have offensive genius Sean Payton as their new coach, Patrick could emerge as a late-round fantasy prize. Will he be ready for training camp?

Tim Patrick Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Patrick's rehab has been going well. He revealed on an episode of Steve Smith's "Cut to It" podcast that he is already back to running routes. "At this point, I'm cleared to do everything. At this point, I'm just doing repetition to get myself ready to play in a game," he said.
The injury to Patrick deprived the Broncos of a sturdy 6-4, 212-pound receiver who was important to the team's scheme. Later, receiver K.J. Hamler suffered a hamstring injury and missed the season's final nine games. The Broncos were also hurt by a season-ending ACL tear running back Javonte Williams suffered.
Will Tim Patrick Be Ready By Training Camp?
With OTAs in late May and early June, Patrick has been "cleared to do everything." There are some thinking 2023 could be a bounce-back year for the Broncos and a good time to buy Patrick.
Jerry Jeudy has been floated as a possible trade candidate. If Jeudy is traded, Patrick moves up to the No. 2 spot in the Broncos' WR depth chart behind Courtland Sutton. In fantasy drafts taking place now at the National Fantasy Championships, Patrick is going as the WR88, behind Robert Woods, Terrace Marshall Jr., and Tyquan Thornton.
