Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is one of the best receivers in the league and is part of what many consider the best receiver corps in the NFL. Last season, he finished with 74 receptions for 1,029 yards and scored seven touchdowns in 16 games.
He missed one game due to a thigh strain, but apart from that, he has been pretty healthy. However, the offseason hasn't gone according to plan for the Bengals. Many of their players, including Joe Burrow and Higgins, have gotten hurt.
While Burrow is expected to miss "several weeks," Higgins clashed with safety Nick Scott on August 15 and went down awkwardly on a leg. He lay down for a few moments before sitting out the rest of the practice. In this piece, we'll look at the severity of the 24-year-old wideout's injury and how it might affect fantasy football managers.

How Serious is Tee Higgins' Injury?
As per Tee Higgins himself, the injury is not serious, and he sat out for precautionary purposes. This is good news for all the Bengals fans and the fantasy football managers who have or plan to get Higgins on their team.
The Bengals receiver is perhaps one of the league's most underappreciated players, thanks in large part to the brilliance of Ja'Marr Chase. While Chase is the team's WR1, Higgins is one of the best WR2s available, which is a big luxury for Burrow and the Bengals.
The defending AFC North champions will open the season against the Cleveland Browns, and they will be hoping that both Burrow and Higgins are fully healthy by then.
Tee Higgins is Expected To Sign a Contract Extension Soon
Tee Higgins is eligible to negotiate a contract extension, and it is expected that the Bengals will be able to reach an agreement with him soon. Given how he has performed since getting drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Clemson product deserves to get paid well.
Joe Burrow has made it clear he wants to keep his best players on the team. As a result, we might see him sign a much more team-friendly contract, allowing the franchise to keep guys like Higgins and Chase for the long term and challenge for the Super Bowl every year.
